Privacy Policy

How Telokind handles personal information, optional AI processing, local storage, and consumer health data in the current open-access release.

Effective July 29, 2026

Telokind is a founder-operated, unincorporated online service. In this Privacy Policy, “Telokind,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the individual operator of Telokind.

Telokind helps adults explore life roles and goals, build and save a personal Path, organize Evidence, and use optional AI-assisted reflection and review features. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you use telokind.com and related Telokind services (the “Service”).

The interactive Service is intended for people age 18 or older who live in the United States. Public informational pages may be viewed elsewhere. This Privacy Policy does not govern an independent third-party service that you choose to use under its own terms and privacy notice.

The current release is available on an open-access basis. Telokind does not currently offer live checkout, paid subscriptions, paid one-time purchases, or a referral reward program. Accordingly, we do not currently collect live payment-card, purchase, refund, or referral-program information through those features. Before enabling a paid or referral feature, we will update the applicable product disclosures and legal terms.

1. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on the features you use.

Guest drafts

A guest draft may remain only in local browser or device storage until you clear it, overwrite it, or the browser or device removes it. Telokind does not receive that local content unless you choose an online save, account, AI, support, sharing, or other transmission feature.

Local drafts may be lost when browser data is cleared, storage is unavailable, private browsing ends, or you change devices.

Cookies and local storage

The Service may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies that are reasonably necessary for sign-in, security, session continuity, fraud and abuse prevention, preferences, and local drafts. We may also use limited product analytics and error diagnostics configured to avoid collecting raw private Path, Evidence, prompt, AI-output, password, or payment-card content.

Telokind does not use third-party advertising cookies or session replay on private Path, Evidence, or AI pages. We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your browser may allow you to clear or block cookies and local storage. Blocking technologies needed for authentication, security, or saving may prevent parts of the Service from working.

Information we ask you not to submit

Do not submit another person’s sensitive information without authority. Do not send passwords, government identification numbers, full payment-card numbers, medical records, or information you do not need for the feature.

Telokind is not a medical-record system, therapist, emergency service, or place to store information needed for urgent care.

2. How we use information

We use personal information as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide accounts, synchronization, Path, Evidence, review, export, sharing, and other features you request;
  • send the context needed for an AI feature to a commercial AI API provider and return the requested result;
  • authenticate users, protect accounts, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service;
  • respond to support, privacy, accessibility, safety, and legal requests;
  • diagnose failures and maintain the reliability, availability, and security of the Service;
  • understand aggregate product and operational performance without using raw private User Content for unrelated advertising;
  • comply with law, lawful process, and recordkeeping obligations; and
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information for product planning, reliability, research, and reporting when it is not reasonably linkable to an individual. We maintain de-identified information in de-identified form and do not attempt to re-identify it except to test whether de-identification remains effective or as otherwise permitted by law.

3. AI data practices

Information sent to AI providers

AI features are optional and run only when you request them. When you use an AI feature, Telokind may send the prompt, relevant Path context, instructions, and limited technical metadata needed to provide that feature to one or more commercial AI API providers.

Use the non-AI parts of the Service if you do not want selected content processed by an AI provider. Do not include information that is unnecessary for the result you request.

Model training

Telokind does not use your private Paths, Evidence, prompts, AI conversations, or reviews to train its own general-purpose or cross-user foundation model.

We use commercial AI API offerings and, where available, select terms and settings designed to limit the use of API inputs and outputs for general-purpose model training. We do not intentionally opt private User Content into a provider’s voluntary model-improvement or training program.

If Telokind later proposes to use identifiable private User Content for a materially different training purpose, we will first provide an appropriate explanation and obtain any separate affirmative choice required by law.

Provider retention and access

We do not promise zero data retention. Depending on the provider, endpoint, configuration, and applicable terms, an AI provider may temporarily retain inputs, outputs, and request metadata for security, abuse monitoring, support, service operation, or legal compliance. Limited access by authorized provider personnel or Telokind may occur for those purposes.

AI output is generated automatically. Telokind does not continuously monitor private User Content, and no human reviews every AI interaction.

4. How we disclose information

We disclose personal information only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Service providers

We use service providers and contractors to operate the Service. Depending on the feature and production configuration, they may include:

Provider categoryPurpose and typical information
Authentication and enabled identity providersAccount identifiers, email, profile information, authentication, session, and security data
Hosting, database, storage, and content deliveryUser Content, account records, request metadata, backups, and other data needed to operate the Service
Commercial AI API providersContext and metadata reasonably needed to provide the AI feature, return output, secure the service, and conduct restricted abuse monitoring
Security, analytics, and error diagnosticsLimited device, request, usage, error, and performance metadata configured to exclude raw private User Content where reasonably practicable
Email and communicationsEmail address, delivery metadata, and the message or attachment you choose to send

Providers may process information under their applicable terms, contracts, and instructions and may use subprocessors. They may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.

Other disclosures

We may also disclose information:

  • At your direction. For example, when you export information, create a share link, connect a service, or ask us to send information to someone. A recipient may copy information, and revoking a link cannot retrieve copies already made.
  • For legal, security, and safety reasons. When required by valid legal process or when disclosure is otherwise permitted by law and reasonably necessary to protect rights, security, or safety.
  • In a business transaction. In connection with financing, due diligence, merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to applicable confidentiality, notice, consent, and use restrictions.
  • With professional advisers. To advisers with confidentiality duties when reasonably necessary for legal, tax, accounting, security, or insurance purposes.

5. No sale, targeted advertising, or third-party advertising

Telokind does not sell personal information or consumer health data. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, process it for targeted advertising, or display third-party advertising.

If these practices change, we will update the Service and this Privacy Policy and provide any notice, consent, or opt-out required before the new practice begins.

6. Consumer health data privacy

This Section is also Telokind’s Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy for purposes of applicable U.S. state consumer health privacy laws.

Telokind is a reflection and planning service, not a health-care provider. However, content you choose to enter may reveal or permit an inference about physical or mental health.

Categories and sources

Consumer health data may include:

  • health, wellness, fitness, accessibility, or safety goals that you choose to include in a Path;
  • descriptions of physical or mental-health status, symptoms, limitations, treatment, recovery, or well-being that you choose to submit; and
  • health-related inferences generated from the content you submit when needed to provide a feature you request.

We collect this information directly from you or derive it from the content you choose to provide. We do not purchase consumer health data from data brokers.

Purposes

We collect and use consumer health data only as reasonably necessary to:

  • save, display, edit, export, or delete the Path or Evidence you request;
  • provide an AI-assisted reflection or review that you expressly request;
  • operate, secure, troubleshoot, and prevent abuse of the Service;
  • respond to your support or privacy request; and
  • comply with law or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We do not use consumer health data for advertising, data brokerage, insurance, employment, credit, or decisions about another person’s eligibility for essential services.

Disclosures and recipients

Telokind does not sell consumer health data. We do not share it with third parties for their independent marketing or unrelated purposes.

To provide a feature you request, consumer health data may be processed by service providers acting on Telokind’s behalf, such as hosting, database, storage, security, and commercial AI API providers. The categories disclosed are limited to the User Content, AI context, and technical information reasonably necessary for the requested feature, security, support, or legal compliance.

Telokind currently has no corporate affiliates. If that changes, this Section will be updated before consumer health data is disclosed to an affiliate for a new purpose.

Your consumer health data rights

Where applicable, you may have the right to:

  • confirm whether Telokind collects, shares, or sells consumer health data about you;
  • access that data and obtain a list of applicable third-party or affiliate recipients;
  • withdraw consent from future collection or sharing when consent is the legal basis;
  • request deletion, including notification to applicable processors or recipients; and
  • appeal a refusal to act on a request.

Email telokind@gmail.com with “Consumer Health Data Request” in the subject line. You do not need to create a new account to make a request, although we may ask you to use an existing account or provide information reasonably necessary to authenticate the request.

We respond within the time required by applicable law. For rights governed by Washington law, this generally means within 45 days, subject to one legally permitted 45-day extension. Deletion from archived or backup systems may be delayed as permitted by law, but any delay governed by Washington law will not exceed six months after authentication.

If we refuse a request, email telokind@gmail.com with “Consumer Health Data Appeal” in the subject line. We will provide the explanation and regulator-contact method required by applicable law if an appeal is denied.

7. Retention and deletion

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, considering the information’s sensitivity, the feature used, your choices, security needs, provider capabilities, disputes, and legal obligations.

InformationRetention approach
Active account and User ContentWhile the account or relevant content remains active, then deleted or de-identified through the applicable deletion process, subject to security, backup, dispute, and legal exceptions
Local guest draftUntil you clear or overwrite it or the browser or device removes it
AI provider request dataFor the period applicable to the actual provider, endpoint, configuration, security needs, and legal obligations; zero retention is not promised
Security, analytics, and diagnostic recordsFor a limited period appropriate to security, abuse prevention, reliability, incident investigation, product measurement, and law, then deleted or de-identified
Support and rights-request recordsLong enough to respond, verify completion, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations

A verified deletion request removes covered data from applicable active systems and is communicated to applicable processors or recipients when required by law. Residual copies may remain temporarily in restricted backups until overwritten under the ordinary backup cycle or a shorter legal deadline. We may retain limited information when necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or legal claims and will explain an exception when required.

8. Your privacy rights and choices

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have the right to:

  • confirm whether we process personal information and access it;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • delete personal information;
  • receive a portable copy of information you provided;
  • withdraw consent or stop an optional use;
  • obtain information about categories, sources, purposes, and recipients;
  • opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling activities; and
  • appeal a refusal to act on a request.

Telokind does not currently sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or make automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about another person.

Use an in-product privacy control where available or email telokind@gmail.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. Identify the account email and the right you wish to exercise. We may take proportionate steps to verify identity, account control, and an authorized agent’s authority. We respond within the period required by applicable law and do not discriminate against a person for exercising a privacy right.

For an appeal, email telokind@gmail.com with “Privacy Appeal” in the subject line.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

We treat a recognized Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request where required. Because Telokind does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, no such activity occurs whether or not a signal is present.

Older Do Not Track signals do not have a consistent legal or technical standard, so Telokind does not respond to them as a separate choice.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information in light of its nature and the risks involved. Measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption where appropriate, least-privilege provider access, logging, data minimization, and vendor review.

No Internet service, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that information will never be lost, misused, or accessed without authorization. Protect your sign-in method and devices, and contact telokind@gmail.com promptly if you believe an account or information has been compromised.

If an incident triggers a legal notification duty, Telokind will provide the notices required by applicable law.

10. Adults only

The interactive Service is not directed to people under 18, and we do not knowingly offer accounts or AI features to minors. We may use an age self-confirmation rather than collecting a full birth date.

If you believe a minor provided personal information, email telokind@gmail.com. We will investigate and delete or restrict the information as required by law.

11. U.S. and cross-border processing

Telokind currently intends the interactive Service for U.S. residents. Service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to that jurisdiction’s laws and lawful government requests.

Public informational pages may be viewed outside the United States. Basic security and delivery metadata may still be processed when a person requests those pages.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service, providers, or law changes. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required for a material change.

We will not treat ordinary continued use as consent to a new sensitive-data training, sale, or unrelated secondary-use purpose when the law requires a separate choice.
