Fictional composite

Growth — Daniel Kim

Test whether analytical work fits through real tasks, feedback, and reflection—not another abstract credential.

Fictional composite. One possible Path for one person at one moment—not a model answer or recommendation.

The same Path, in two reading views.

Quick shows the shape at a glance. Full keeps the same Path structure and adds the facts behind it.

Path Goal

I want to grow from completing assigned operations work into solving less-defined problems, using evidence, and making an informed choice about whether analytical work suits me.

Success Evidence

  • I complete real analysis that helps someone make or change a decision.
  • I can show two privacy-safe work samples that explain the question, reasoning, limitations, and result.
  • People who have seen my work can give specific feedback on both my strengths and what I still need to learn.
  • I can choose to pursue an analyst role, reshape my current role, or follow another direction based on experience rather than status.

Current Position

I’m 27 and work as an operations coordinator in Dallas while studying part-time. I enjoy spreadsheets and have completed several online courses, but most exercises had clean data and known answers. I have not experienced the full work of clarifying a messy request, finding usable data, explaining uncertainty, and seeing whether anyone acts on the result.

Current Move

By Thursday I’ll ask an analyst colleague for a 45-minute conversation about one recent request and permission to observe a privacy-safe part of the work. I’ll ask what was messy, what judgment mattered, and what changed because of the analysis.
