Fictional composite

Integrity — Samira Patel

Make a documented, proportionate decision without minimizing consumer harm or overstating uncertain evidence.

Fictional composite. One possible Path for one person at one moment—not a model answer or recommendation.

Path Goal

I want to make and carry out a decision I can honestly defend: one that treats possible consumer harm seriously, describes uncertain evidence accurately, and uses the authority and lawful escalation routes available to me.

Success Evidence

  • The record clearly separates verified facts, interpretations, and important unknowns.
  • Material concerns reach the people who legitimately own the decision, with my recommendation and reasoning intact.
  • I define what I can endorse, what must change, and when I would dissent, recuse myself, escalate, or leave.
  • I neither disclose protected information nor use confidentiality as an excuse for silence inside an appropriate channel.

Current Position

I’m a 38-year-old fintech compliance director in New York. A launch team is under pressure, and a small sample suggests that vulnerable users may misunderstand a costly feature. The signal is incomplete, but dismissing it would also be a choice. I have professional duties, family caregiving, and health-insurance responsibilities, so a dramatic exit is not my only honest action.

Current Move

Tomorrow morning I’ll write a two-page table with three columns—verified facts, interpretations, and material unknowns—then add the decision owner, time sensitivity, potential harm, and the next lawful way to reduce uncertainty.

Carry the method forward
