How to write a Path
A useful Path does not need to predict your whole life. It needs to name what you want, show what “real” would look like, respect where you are starting, hold any route lightly, and end with one move you can make now.
Path Goal
Describe the state you want, not the route for reaching it.
Good
I want work to support a life in which I control most of my week without putting my family’s basic security at risk.
Not yet
Quit my job and become a freelancer.
Success Evidence
Describe a few clear signs you could recognize. Do not tie them to one specific route.
Good
Most weeks, I can choose when and where I do most of my work.
Not yet
I have two consulting clients.
The second answer only shows progress on one possible route.
Current Position
Consider what is true now, what you can draw on, and what this Path must respect or protect.
You do not need to answer each prompt separately. Keep everything in one Current Position field.
Current Route Bet
Optional. This is a current bet, not a permanent commitment.
A Path without a Route Bet is still a valid Path.
Current Move
Choose one concrete, manageable next action you can control.

Start where the facts are
Your first Path is not a contract with your future self. It is a useful version of what you know now. You can revise the Goal, the evidence, the route, or the move when reality changes.
